Tomorrow I’ll be leaving my cow town of 21+ years and venturing to Paris to be an au pair for a year. Finally, months spent acquiring visas, researching French phone plans, and answering the question, “What’s an au pair?” are at an end. By the way, au pair is a fancy French term for “live-in nanny” (I think we can both agree that au pair sounds more glamorous). I’ve said my goodbyes to my favorite Davis people, restaurants, and the clothes that won’t fit in my suitcase (tear).
I’ll do my best to update this blog as frequently as I can, but no promises, because who knows, I might be having such an amazing time eating croissants and drinking wine by the Seine that I forget all about it… But more likely I’ll want to make sure you’re all jealous of me/don’t forget about me.
Here’s a warning that this blog may feature a lot of food and/or cat pictures, and I’m not going to apologize for either of those. On a more serious note, I’m looking forward to sharing my adventures with all of you!
See you on the other side (of the Atlantic)! xoxo
